Virgin Money needed to address the threat from Fintech disruptors by building a customer-centric, data driven service that would go beyond the bounds of traditional banking. The reimagined experience needed to extend the relationship with Virgin Money customers to support everyday needs and take the stress out of key life events.

PITCH CHALLENGE

The Virgin Money team were looking for an agency to partner with them to deliver a proof of concept for the new digital banking service. Agency teams needed to demonstrate how a core banking platform could be combined with a new front-end experience to deliver enhanced functionality. Pitch concepts needed to include examples of Account onboarding, Transaction analysis, Real-time payments, Account integration, Personal financial management (PFM) and Rewards capability.

PITCH RESPONSE

With just 3 weeks to put our pitch response together we assembled an expert team of strategists and designers from across the HeathWallace offices (London, Reading, Hong Kong and Melbourne). We used InVision to collaborate throughout the process from initial mood boards to the final concepts. The limitations of a 90 minute pitch meeting meant that we had to get our ideas across succinctly.

We selected four journeys that would showcase our ideas: ‘Seamless onboarding’, ‘Delightful everyday banking’, ‘Supporting your goals’ and ‘Experiences beyond banking’. Our concepts combined insights, technology and data to deliver a banking experience that would set Virgin Money apart from its competitors.
